Hi, I’m Kim, the heart behind the lens

Hello! I’m Kim, the soul and shutter behind Infinite Splendor Photography. My journey with photography didn’t just kick off with the launch of this venture; it started in my childhood. Picture this: a young girl, forever eager to freeze time, armed with her mom’s 110 film camera and later, the iconic Polaroid instant camera. Yes, those were the days of film and flash cubes, treasures of memories at family events and vacations, all nurtured by my incredibly supportive parents. And believe it or not, I still hold onto that Polaroid camera, a tangible piece of my early love for photography and a treasure trove of beautiful memories from my childhood.

Fast forward from those carefree days to life’s more complex chapters… After high school, I ventured into the world of travel & tourism, even snagging the role of class president at trade school. My career path led me to an airline, where I worked as a customer service supervisor by 21, and where fate would have me meet my future husband. Married in April 2001, our lives took an unexpected turn when, in the aftermath of the tragic events of September 11th, we both lost our jobs, navigating the challenges of early marriage and the anticipation of our first child.

Life’s journey has since blessed us with two wonderful daughters (and now a son-in-law), and the exciting news of our first grandson expected in April 2024.

In 2021, a new battle emerged—my fight against breast cancer. Thanks to early detection and divine grace, I stand before you a survivor. This period of my life, though challenging, sparked a profound realization of the importance of capturing life’s fleeting moments, guiding my transition into wedding photography. My experience has ingrained in me the priceless value of documenting love stories, a responsibility I hold dear.

When the camera is set aside, my time is devoted to family, travel, skiing, hiking, and embracing adventures with my husband. Each day is an opportunity to live fully, a testament to the never-ending beauty that surrounds us.
